SO3: Identify and analyse gaps between real needs and available solutions/practices regarding sustainable soil management and OG working processes, resulting in fact sheets, research briefs and policy briefs.

Activities underpinning this objective

With online questionnaires, direct interaction and focus group discussions capturing farmers’ most urgent needs, constraints and barriers affecting technology adoption, as well OGs experience and bottlenecks regarding their establishment and operation.

Gap analysis on needs and solutions

Identifying drivers of farmers' preferences towards technology adoption, understanding differences in the adoption of soil and crop management practices

Understanding and comparing practices in different countries regarding OGs’ establishment, operation and funding.

Achievements/Targeted outcome

2 Fact sheets with focus on gap analysis results, concluding i) farmers constraints, barriers and preferences towards technology adoption, ii) differences in OG operation in the member countries

2 research briefs with focus on gap analysis results discussing i) differences in the adoption of soil and crop management practices, ii) ready to use OG practical results on soil farm management

2 policy briefs: thematic one will focus on soil management methods and practices with the aim of strengthening sustainable agriculture in policy making, promoting new regulations for mitigating harmful agricultural practices;
