Agrolesfest II,Slovakia: Exploring Agroforestry through Practice & Knowledge Sharing

Exploring Agroforestry through Practice & Knowledge Sharing

As part of Agrolesfest II , our Slovak partner Bioeconomy Cluster (Bioeconomy Cluster) had the opportunity to deliver a workshop within the Soil-X-Change project, focusing on how knowledge can be translated into real-life farming solutions.

During the session, Soil-X-Change Dashboard was introduced, an interactive tool designed to support AKIS stakeholders (farmers, advisors, researchers, and policymakers) in identifying and applying practical, ready-to-use soil and farm management solutions across Europe. We explored:
- How to navigate and search for practices
- Key features supporting knowledge uptake
- The diversity of practices available across regions

A key focus was on Slovak practices featured in the dashboard, followed by a deep dive into all agroforestry-related practices , highlighting their applicability and potential for scaling in local conditions.
Great discussions emerged around how such tools can strengthen advisory services and accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices on the ground.

The workshop was part of a broader programme delivered in collaboration with:
EELAP represented by Slovak agroforestry association
Looking forward to continuing these exchanges and supporting the integration of practical knowledge into advisory systems and farming practice.
