Welcome to Soil-X-Change!

The project’s mission is to facilitate connections among farmers, stakeholders, policy makers, projects, and initiatives, accelerating innovation and promoting the swift implementation of cutting-edge solutions in agricultural practices. By fostering collaboration between researchers, farmers, and other stakeholders across the EU, we aim to enhance Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems, contributing to the green transition, smart agriculture, climate-neutrality, and sustainability efforts.

With 151 direct partners, Soil-X-Change is dedicated to collecting, harmonizing, analyzing, and integrating the results and data produced by various project partners. Our goal is to disseminate and share innovative practices across nine member countries, creating a network that spans the continent.

The heart of the Soil-X-Change project lies in bringing together European Innovation Partnership Operational Groups (EIP OGs) and key stakeholders in sustainable soil and farm management. Through this collaboration, we aim to create an EU-wide network, sharing knowledge and introducing practical solutions to empower farmers to make informed decisions about agricultural production practices.

Our bottom-up approach, from farmers to Operational Groups (OGs), ensures that practical knowledge is reinforced and shared effectively through suitable dissemination channels. We are committed to developing a data Dashboard and Adaptation guide, simplifying the dissemination and out-scaling of research results and ready-to-use practices in a visual and easy-to-understand format.

We – Soil-X-Change consortium members - believe in the power of co-design and co-creation. Through our EU-wide network, best practices handbook, and workshops, we aim to foster innovation, collaboration, and the establishment of new Operational Groups.

By promoting sustainable soil and farm management practices, we strive to contribute to healthy agricultural soils, a sustainable food production system, and environmental preservation.
