The Soil-X-Change partner ATB held a workshop session during the 3rd Life Meeting of the Climate Farm Demo Living Labs (https://climatefarmdemo.eu/), at the Leibniz Innovation Farm in Gross Kreutz (Germany).
Entitled “Bridging awareness and action: national perspectives on sustainable soil and farm management”, the session introduced the Soil-X-Change project and shared key insights from the results of the Farmer Survey on sustainable soil and farm management. The aim was to present findings of the survey to the 15 Living Labs facilitators from 9 European countries and initiate an open discussion. Participants were encouraged to reflect on the results from their national perspectives – validating, challenging, or enriching them with their experience and local context.
Climate Far Demo is unique pan-European network of Pilot Demo Farmers covering 28 countries and all pedo-climatic areas. It aims at accelerating the adoption of Climate Smart Farming practices by farmers and all actors of the Agriculture Knowledge & Innovation Systems (AKIS) with a view to adapting agricultural production systems to climate change and to achieving a carbon neutral agricultural sector by 2050, thereby meeting the targets of the EU Climate strategy.
