Soil-X-Change Network – We aim to advance sustainable soil management in Europe!

Central to the Soil-X-Change project's mission is the establishment of National Nodes (NNs), driven by National Node Facilitators (NNFs) who act as vital connectors between local stakeholders and the broader network. These NNs foster dynamic collaboration environments, serving as hubs for sharing knowledge and resources on sustainable soils. Initial meetings have successfully engaged a wide array of stakeholders, aligning them with the project’s goals and facilitating opportunities for innovation and cross-border collaboration. After these meetings we are actively collaborating with nearly 60 OGs which are ready to share their practices!

The Soil-X-Change Network is broadening its reach through strategic partnerships with significant bodies not only the OGs, but also Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems Coordination Bodies (AKIS CB), and the EU CAP network. These collaborations aim to expand the network’s coverage and invite more stakeholders to participate in improving soil health and agricultural sustainability across Europe.

Guided by a Knowledge Board of experts, the project ensures that the selected OGs best practices are validated and effectively disseminated. This board plays a pivotal role in reviewing and evaluating sustainable soil management practices, ensuring the knowledge shared within the network is both relevant and high-quality.

Looking ahead, planned workshops and ongoing interaction with external projects offer additional venues for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop strategies that align with Europe's broader environmental goals. As the Soil-X-Change Network develops, it holds the promise of making substantial contributions to the long-term sustainability of European agricultural and environmental systems!
