Work package 3

Work package 3 – Boosting of Soil-X-Change Net and strengthening the connection and cooperation with AKISs and similar projects and initiatives (Lead Beneficiary - BEC)

Objectives

Work package will boost an EU network established in Work package 2 to strengthen knowledge exchange between farmers and key stakeholders. Connections and cooperation within national Soil-X-Change nodes, between them and with other key actors (Soil-X-Change Knowledge Board, AKISs, platforms, other projects and initiatives) will be reinforced.

Work Package 3 (WP3) directly builds upon activities of Work Package 2 (WP2). WP3 can benefit significantly from the outputs of WP2 in several ways:

1. Strengthened EU Network (Soil-X-Change Net) (Links between T2.1, T2.2 and T3.1): WP2 establishes the EU network, Soil-X-Change Net, which serves as a platform for knowledge exchange between farmers and key stakeholders. In WP3, this network's existence and structure provide a solid foundation for enhancing cooperation and collaboration among national Soil-X-Change nodes, other key actors, and AKISs. WP3 can leverage the already established network to facilitate the flow of information, experiences, and best practices across countries and regions. Through the Soil-X-Change Knowledge Board, WP2 ensures that the solutions and farming methods collected within the EU network are validated by experts. In WP3, this validated knowledge becomes readily available for dissemination to national nodes, AKISs, platforms, and other EU projects.

2. Strengthened Cooperation with AKISs (Link between T2.3 and T3.2): WP3 can benefit from the connection established with national and regional AKIS Coordination in WP2 by sharing materials and knowledge collected or developed.

3. Enhanced Networking at the EU Level (Link between T2.4 and T3.3): WP2’s will map thematically related networks, projects, and initiatives what will open opportunities for WP3 to interact and collaborate with these existing networks. This broader networking improves synergies and allows WP3 to learn from and contribute to related initiatives in the EU.
